Sagi Arad (MAMZER)
Graphic designer/Illustrator from Israel in charge of the FB events design.
If people decide to come to our events on the first place, we're 99% sure it's because of his sick poster designs. Thanks for all the work you've put in this brother, and all the "final-final-final-final amendments" you had to deal with.
Gianna Rizzo (This is Footscray)
Street photographer from Melbourne in charge of the FB events photos. Foreign sister number 1.
Gianna does not only take pretty pictures. She captures the energy/feeling of a moment to convey the atmosphere of an event while adding her own personal rad aesthetic to each shot.
Foreign Brothers is a family affair. If it wasn't for the involvement of a long list of incredibly talented and generous people we met along the way, we would not be where we are today.
Graphic designer/Illustrator from France, FB logo and T-shirts design.
A creative wizard, able to transform a bunch of vague ideas sent in an email at 2am into an iconic logo and branding strategy.
Josef van Klink (Gorilla Films)
Video producer, owner of Gorilla Films, FB promo videos.
The ultimate creative geek. So passionate, he will litterally shoot an event until 1am, spend the night in his room editing the video and send you the youtube link before you even wake up the morning after. So talented his work is one of the main reasons we are so proud of our portfolio.
Artist from Monaco, drawings, doodles and Chatak.
Ex-diplomat, travelling the world, creativity as a motto. Doesn't need to promote her work out loud. It just speaks for itself.
Jeweller, photographer, social media queen.
Nicky has seen the inception, birth and growing of the FB collective. One of our most valuable supporters, she will also tell us straight up if our s*** is not on point.
DJ J'NETT & Jimmy James (Strictly Vinyl)
DJs, party promoters, providers of quality music and good times. Founders of Strictly Vinyl.
With probably the best record collection in the Pacific, these guys know how to throw a party. We still have vivid memories of their Roller Jam set and can't wait to collaborate again!
Alex Schoelcher (Collecting Melbourne/World Portrait Archive/Cheesy Flops)
Street photographer from England/Iran and France. FB founder and first marketing manager.
With a slick aesthetic, simple and refined, his photos have already received wide appreciation from the Melbourne creative community and he presented his first solo exhibition as part of Melbourne Music Week 2012. Also proud owner and founder of Cheesy Flops he is a visionary business man.
PHD candidate at Melbourne University from Germany. Jazz singer. Jazz label owner. Arts organisation strategies & fundings.
Dom is currently working on his PHD looking at new funding models and sustainable strategies for arts organisations. Without a doubt, FB's most valuable consultant and friend. Will also tell you straight up if you're talking s***.
Lawrence L Ricks
Bass player and local legend from the US. Musical director of the FB Core-tet.
Trained by Jazz bassist Ron Carter, heavily influenced by the American Hip-hop scene that he saw growing in New York, Lawrence is a generous character and local community legend. His involvement in FB, as the Core-tet leader, is a blessing.
DJ, MC, music entrepreneur from Miami.
Anthony, aka Main Event is not afraid to kick the doors open in order to make things happen. He's young, talented and will never give up on his dreams. Definitely the kind of positive, ambitious guy you want around in times of doubts.
Sound engineer from Israel. FB audio recordings and all-round supporter.
A loyal friend, Israeli food connoisseur and sound expert, Oren has been supporting FB from the early stages. Whether it's to volunteer or simply hang out, the guy is always around and ready to support our community.
Chris Gill (Northside Records)
The Soul godfather of Melbourne. Record shop owner, Triple R radio host.
The man with Melbourne's biggest afro, Chris Gill has been around for a long-time helping out young upcoming artists and musicians. We felt blessed to collaborate with him on the Roller Jam and seeing him rocking the skating rink with his short shorts made us feel like we did something good for the community.
Claudia Sangiorgi Dalimore
Non-stop creativity. Professional dancer and choreographer, body & face painting.
One of our first supporters and official FB choreographer. Thanks to her, you now have a chance to catch the FB doing their original dance routine at the next event you attend.
DJ, event manager, cultural entrepreneur from Melbourne.
The busiest DJ in town, Mz Rizk is probably the most community-oriented person we've met along our journey. To understand why, simply check out one of her Section 8 Block parties on sundays.
Fatima Jarrari (Gallery One Three)
Gallery owner from Morocco. Curator, independent, inspiring.
Fatima and Gallery One Three were the first people to believe in our project. She opened us her space for Cultural Oasis and pushed us to give the best we had to offer. Refusing the status quo and always in quest of new cutting edge projects, she is a creative force in the Melbourne CBD.
Finally, none of these events would have happened without the help and support of these organisations, who offered us whether a space, a sponsor, an in-kind donation or simply an opportunity. Bless up.
Special shout out also to all the people who have helped us on FBs events too - Jeanne, Davinia, Pietro, Steve, Jo, Laura extra extra extra blessings - who have been able to put up with our epic bump-ins and deal with our many change of plans along the way. To our friends who came down, helped us out and allowed us to step back and watch our events unfold, you are an essential part of this community we're creating!
DJ, crate digger, video collector/editor from Melbourne. DIY champion.
If someone was to recreate J-Love's musical and visual universe, it would probably be a world of VHS saturated colors and characters, computer generated landscapes, 80s babes on roller skates with heavy tropical bass-sounds. Check him out.
Brendan Smith (John Alfred Designs)
Wood furniture designer from New Zealand. Owner of John Alfred Designs.
Mastered the woodworking craft and decided to launch his own company. Need a bar, a stage, a vinyl shelf, a customized rooftop deck - all this while obviously using sustainable and recyclabe materials? He's your man.
